REA Mobile AG follows on from the successes of the REA Group, which is based in Mühltal near Darmstadt and develops, produces and sells cashless payment systems. This group of company not only offers a one-stop total service package but is also market leader in Germany. With the expansion of their mobile division, the REA Group is now taking another step to fulfill the company motto: Innovation made in Germany.

Thanks to the use of mobile technologies, new ways of exploiting the potential of the more than 90,000 REA terminals which have already been installed can be offered to the trade. Own customer loyalty schemes and discount schemes can be easily set up and managed online. Plus, the link to the terminals means that the schemes are integrated in the payment system.

REA Mobile AG has evolved from FunkTicket AG, a company which was set up by the REA Group as their first step into the world of developing mobile solutions and supplied the technology which is now used in the »rea-dy client«. The FunkTicket system was first tested in a number of successful projects, the highlights of which included the joint project with German brewer Bitburger and the FIFA Fan Fest in Kaiserslautern and the project implemented with the firm that operates the multi-storey car park at the Mauritius Galerie in Wiesbaden.
