Mobile “Parken per Handy“ parking service: a great success!

No more looking for change, no more overpaid parking time or parking tickets just because you were two minutes late. Precise to the minute, convenient and safe – park and relax with your mobile in Darmstadt’s city centre!

Since the service was set up in July 2007, the system, which began as a test, has now been extended to include 300 car parks and has an impressive number of more than 1,500 regular, satisfied users.

In the month of September alone, more than 1,400 cars were parked by mobile phone and since its start, the service has been attracting 8 percent of the overall parking volume. “We are of course very happy about the continuous growth of the user and transaction numbers, especially since this has happened unsupported, that is, without a great deal of marketing. This is a clear sign for us that customers recognise the significant added value of our solution!” says Dietmar Neidig, board member of REA Mobile AG.

If you would like to book your parking space using your mobile, please go to www.parken-per-handy.de to register once free of charge or call us on 06154-638-1250 to register your vehicle(s). Now you can park and relax. To start the parking process, all you need to do is call the number displayed in the parking zone. You will then receive an SMS confirming the parking process together with information about the start of parking, the longest permissible parking time and the parking rate of the zone in question. To end the parking process, simply call the number again – this call is also free of charge!
