rea-dy welcomes its 250th customer

After many years of development, our new product rea-dy-suite celebrated its market launch this year. Availability of this product is initially restricted to Darmstadt, which serves as a pilot market prior to a nationwide rollout.

rea-dy-suite is a mobile added-value solution which enables the networked partner firms (the retailers) to display customer retention programmes, customer vouchers, information text messages and later mobile payments on existing REA terminals. The end customer need only register with the retailer via a REA terminal or on the homepage www.rea-dy.de .

10 retailers from a variety of branches are already linked by the system and have conducted more than 1,500 transactions with 250 customers.

“The product has met with a high degree of acceptance amongst retailers, even though it often requires extensive explanation. Feedback has shown that the greatest challenge is posed by the need to explain the necessity of customer retention rather than with the actual use of the extremely simple and user-friendly product rea-dy suite,” reports Dietmar Neidig, board member of REA Mobile.

In order to explain this topic to ca. 1800 REA business customers, we have initiated internal workshops explaining customer retention and external information campaigns such as that launched in co-operation with the Stadtsparkasse Darmstadt.

Neidig continues: “We expect that the impending live activation of mobile payment will represent a further important step towards increasing user take-up, also on the part of the end customer.”
