Parking enters a new era on April 18

FunkTicket AG will be launching the cashless parking ticket in the inner city of Wiesbaden on April 18, 2006. After registering online, customers of the multi-storey car park »Mauritius Galerie« can now pay for parking with their mobile phone. The barcode shown on the display is scanned on entry at the barrier. Afterwards, the mobile can then display the current parking time and costs if required. When customers drive out of the car park their mobile ticket (»FunkTicket«) is automatically billed online. Users can access the company’s website at FunkTicket.de to check their parking tickets and credit balance at any time. This innovative parking system was made possible thanks to the close cooperation between FunkTicket AG and the manufacturers of the entry and exit barriers, Scheidt&Bachmann, and the car park operator B&B.
