Convenient Cashless Payments

Making cashless payments with the mobile wallet is child’s play at any one of the 90,000 REA terminals. No need for endless rummaging and waiting at the checkout: with the mobile wallet you always have the right amount ready to hand.

A dynamically generated and time-restricted valid transaction number (TAN) is requested via the »rea-dy« JAVA client on the mobile. It can only be used once in connection with the REA terminal.

The TAN is entered via the REA terminal, or is transmitted via NFC, payment is checked and approved in connection with the TAN. The Terminal transmits the enabling signal to the cash desk which then prints out the receipt via existing cash desk printer.

Payment is made simply and easily as part of a postpaid procedure. This provides the retailer with a payment guarantee and the user with an easy and flexible procedure. The whole system is entirely safe, and has received approval from the German financial watchdog, the Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (BaFin).

• Safe payments by using a non-recurrent and time-restricted valid transaction number; stolen EC cards and PIN numbers that can be spied on are things of the past
• Transmission of the TAN via NFC accelerates payment processes and makes them more convenient to handle and, not least, times spent at the cash desk are reduced
